Shoprider Scooter Controller - Damage by Water

Shoprider Scooter Controller - Damage by Water

This is why you should NEVER ride your mobility scooter in the rain. This Shoprider 3-wheel mobility scooter was brought in with battery voltage healthy, but totally unable to turn on.

Upon opening up the controller, we found clear signs of water seepage, and it is non-functional.

Unfortunately, this scooter does use any of the Dynamic or PG controllers that are commonly used, so we were unable to help. He is now considering to trade-in for a Spitfire Scout 4-wheel mobility scooter.

Please help to circulate stories like this so that people understand that mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are not rain-proof and should never be driven in the rain.
