Bandai Namco, a Japanese game maker, has developed an arcade game called 'Dokidoki Hebi Taiji II' ('Thrilling Snakebuster II') with Kyushu University Hospital.
Playing this game helps to strengthen the legs and hip muscles of elderly patients, which is important to prevent falls. Representatives from Kyushu University also shared that playing the game also cerebral blood flows especially to the frontal lobe, which may help to slow the progress of cognitive impairment.
This could be a good addition for our eldercare centres. Look at this amazing 94-year old grandma have a go at the game!
